The Premonstratensian Abbey in Teplá was founded in 1193 by the blessed Hroznata. The oldest part is the Romanesque-Gothic church of the Annunciation. At the turn of the 17th and the 18th centuries, Kryštof Dietzenhofer built a baroque prelature and a convent. The farm buildings emerged in the 15th – 19th century, the library and the museum are of a Neo-Baroque style and were built during 1902 – 1910. Regular services are held in the church, the premonstratensians also administer many parishes in the neighbourhood. Open to the public is the library, museum and the educational tour through renovated baroque wing. Concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events take place there.
