Kácov is a charming picturesque little town in central Posázaví Region, which is situated on both banks of the Sázava River. Its history began in 1318. The medieval fortress grew into a baroque castle at the square, which became a dominant feature of Kácov. Other historical monuments include the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the sculptural group of the Virgin Mary and 14 Holy Helpers and the Town Hall.
